Import Munzee's into GSAK, Import Uncaptured and Captured Munzee's

Version 2.2.9




This is the traditional setup.
New are:

Save as Cachetype: When Other is selected, the type of munzee will
be automatically chosen by the type of munzee pin.

Munzee Password: To collected captured Munzee's, a login to Munzee.com is required.
Therefore you need to fill in the Munzee.com password. It is nowhere stored!

Database Options: You can select if you want to have the text of a munzee listing
in the 'Short Description' or in the 'Hints'. The Hints can be selected at Export to
have the text available on your GPS. The parameter '%hint' needs to be selected on
the export screen.


This is the result of traditional selection.


Now the 'Other' cache type is selected and text are in Hints.


Now every munzee is stored with the correct type of munzee.

Note1: With a blank database, the storage of captured munzee's takes a long time!
The second run will be faster.

Note2: Munzee's which are captured by you and are archived or outside the selected area, are added automatically but without additional information, just
the captured date, name, munzee code and number of captures.

Note3: Password is only required to retrieve the captured munzee's. The password
will be checked after closing of the form. When the password is incorrect, it will
allow you to re-enter.

Note4: Most common Unicode strings are converted.

Note5: For downwards compatibility with version 2.2.5 or earlier, you should select
the 'Save as Cachetype' not to 'Other' and select the database option 'Text in Short Description'.

Note:

1. The choice of having the munzee text in LongDescription or Hints is removed. It is permanently in the LongDescription.
2. The Hints field contains the real hint if in the text of the munzee a hint is defined with Hint: xxxxxxxxxxxx where xxxx is the hint text.
3. The captured points are moved to the Favorites field. In the logs, the individual points are stored.
4. The unique ID of the munzee is still an big struggle to have that setup. This means that with this version, some GPS devices might have
some troubles with accepting the Munzee's as Geocaches.

There has been some doubts about additional new tags in the form field.

The Symbol Name is a field which might be used for a GPS device.
Just fill in Geocache or Munzee.

The 'Update on Captures' is an option which you might need to set in order to
have your FTC's back again.

What it does is connecting to the Munzee website for every captured munzee
and retrieves all the info which is not available from the Captured datafile.

In other words, the only time that it can determain if the munzee is a FTC
for you is that it is connecting to the website.

Version 2.2.13

Update version with latest WGET routine to be compatible with GSAK version 8.2.x

In the FORM, a new option is available which allows you to exclude your own munzee's .

WGET:

Because GSAK forum does not allow the code of WGET version 1.11.4 into
the macro, you need to download the files yourself.

Download following files from :wGet home page

From that site, download the 'Binaries' zip file and the 'Dependencies' zip file.

Copy WGET.exe from the Binaries.zip file at the BIN folder to the GSAK folder.

Copy all DLL files from the Dependencies.zip file at the BIN folder to the GSAK folder.

Once that is done, you can start the macro. No need to do the procedure again
when you re-run the macro unless the files are removed.

Version 2.2.15

This version is the replacement/update for version 3.0.1 and 2.2.14

Version 3.0.1 is discontinued. The same functionality will be in this new version and is selectable.

Sorry for the 3.0.1 users to come back to 2.2.15 but it will be less confusing and
easier to maintain. Databases with MZ code will be automatically detected and the
macro continues with that format. Also the owner/id number format will be detected
and maintained. Default for new database will be the option chosen.

The location field is not be useful as you might think. The problem is that you need
to now exactly how Munzee.com is saving that info in the .csv file.
As example: Ohio in the States is NOT Ohio but OH USA
If you want to use this location field, and the results are as not expected, please
check the Munzees.csv file and look how it is saved.

Munzee.com added their munzee_id unique number in the data files. This means that with this version, on new databases, this number is going to be used to store with the munzee's. The MZxxxxxx code is not compatible with previous versions!
If you maintain a database, created with previous macro version, this macro will continue to calculate the ID itself. When using a new database, the Munzee ID is used.
