Placed By (Search=>Filter=>General)
Use these fields to select caches placed by specific people. The drop-down menu allows you to choose whether the Geocaching user name of the person (or persons) who placed the cache contains or does not contain the text that you enter in the second field. You can enter any text to be matched, similar to the Quick Search field; you do not need to enter whole words, but what you enter will be matched (or excluded) literally. Note that "mac dak" will search for "mac dak" and not "mac" and "dak"
It is possible to match more than one user by careful (or careless) use of a partial search string. For example, a search string of "mac" matches "maccamob", "Dashing Dog Mac", "bmac", "juzmac", and possibly others.
The in list operand allows you to select multiple user names for inclusion. Each user name must be entered in full and separated by a ; (semi colon). For example, if you want to set a filter that has caches place by Bozo and Jimbo then select in list from the drop down box and enter "Bozo;Jimbo" (without the double quotes)
The text you enter in the second field is not case sensitive.
For complicated searches you may want to acquaint yourself with the Regex (Regular Expression) option.
