Split Screen
GSAK supports a split screen mode, in which the waypoint summaries are displayed in the upper portion of the screen, called the database viewing area, and the detailed, offline HTML information for an individual cache is displayed in the lower portion of the screen, called the split screen viewing area.
Enable Split Screen Mode
You can enable split screen mode by clicking the Show/Hide Split Screen toolbar button , or by using the keyboard shortcut, F2. You can choose from four formats for the information displayed here: see Split Screen Format below for more. This button (and the shortcut key) is a toggle, that is, click it once to enable split screen mode (button shows depressed), then again to remove split screen mode.
You can alter the size of the split screen viewing area by moving the splitter bar. The splitter bar is between the database view and the split screen viewing area. Hover your mouse over the splitter bar until the mouse cursor changes to a double-ended arrow , then hold the left mouse button down and drag the splitter bar up or down to set the size of the split screen viewing area.
Split Screen Format
When you enable split screen mode, GSAK displays a drop-down menu to allow you to choose the format of the information that is displayed in the split screen viewing area. You can choose any of the following four formats:
1. Full display
2. Google Maps
3. Details only
4. Full logs only
5. Log summary
6. Online page
7. Children
In addition you can also create your own custom formats (more information) For an example of a custom split screen format that shows the nearest caches, see this macro.
Once you select a view option, click on any row to see that view in the split screen viewing area.
